Berger

The Terran Berger company is one of the major manufacturers in the Galaxy on Fire 2 universe, dominating the market of space combat technologies in terms of their variety of products. Although their weapons are more expensive, their performance justifies it in the battlefield, compared to the weapons of the more-affordable Nirai company.

Berger and Nirai have been around for millenia, according to the description of the Berger FlaK 9-9, and it has been a tradition of Berger to produce more-superior weapons than Nirai. However, with their superiority, they only come out with their newer models every fifty years, implying a very long development process for their next generation of weapons.

The current generation of Berger products consists of the following in Galaxy on Fire 2:

• Lasers, more powerful but less accessible than the Nirai line of pulsed lasers
  • Berger Focus I
  • Berger Focus II A1
  • Berger Retribution
  • Berger Converge IV
  • ...and possibly the Dark Matter Laser.
• The Berger FlaK 9-9, a scattergun superior to the Nirai .50AS
• The Berger AGT 20mm, the cheapest automatic turret available on the market.
• Sentry guns, stationary turrets that can fire for an escaping traveller
  • Berger SG-100
  • Berger SG-400
• ...and even ships!
  • Berger CrossXT, made for the Midorian rebels
  • Berger Cross Special, the Berger Cross XT with aftermarket modifications.

Depending on how this generation of weapons sells, Berger may come out with a wider variety of weapons. However, they will not come out for another fifty years, yet.
