Weapon Mods were introduced in the game with the Valkyrie add-on. The modules can be mounted in a free equipment slot and either serve to increase primary weapon damage while sacrificing some firing speed or to boost firing speed in exchange for a reduced damage output. Only one mod can be mounted at any time.
