In-Game Description

The Nivelian have crafted the most agile ship ever built, the Dace. The cargo space is quite small and has limited space for modules. It makes up for this with the ability to fire four primary weapons simultaneously.

Characteristics

The Dace is an amazing ship for dog-fighting, but not for much else. The Dace has the best agility in the game, is the cheapest ship with 4 primary weapons slots, and has only 20 fewer Armor points than the Aegir, allowing the Dace to overpower and outmaneuver any other ship in a dogfight. However, the ship's drawbacks include a small number of equipment slots, a tiny Cargo Hold, and only 1 Secondary weapon slot. The Dace's handling can sometimes prove to be an extra problem, as getting your shots aligned with the target will require intense precision unless you get a good scanner and use thermo weapons, or use Nirai Overdrives with Auto Cannons/Scatter Guns.

• A dace is a type of fish.
• It is similar to the Nemesis from Deep Science; this is evident in the front section.
• The Dace is used as a Nivelian basic fighter in Galaxy on Fire: Alliances.
• Using a Pulsed Plasma Thrust which increases control sensitivity to full and getting the +20 handling Kaamo upgrade on this ship makes it nearly impossible to aim accurately.
• The Dace has the highest base handling of all ships in-game.
• Wingmen piloting the Dace will carry 3x Hammerhead D2A2 turrets. You can EMP it and use a Tractor beam to steal, and then sell it for a profit.
