In-Game Description[]

The Gator Custom is the signature ship of the Midorian space criminal Malon Sentendar. Originally the Gator Custom belonged to a notorious bounty hunter, but it was stolen by Sentendar after its former owner had parked it in the hangar of the Kaamo Club.

Notes[]

The Gator Custom is a Most Wanted ship that appeared in the Supernova DLC. After Malon Sentendar is defeated, it will be available to the player in the black market (Loma) system. It will be available at Quineros like all other Most Wanted Ships and Pirate ships once you defeat Sentendar (Nivelian Most Wanted).

Characteristics[]

This ship is for those who want to be able to fight, trade and mine all with one ship. If the Gator Custom is upgraded and installed with Rhoda Blackholes in each slot, it can have up to 4900t of cargo. In comparison to the Cormorant, the Cormorant can have only 3150t of cargo space with the same set-up, and the Rhino can have 5610t. But out of the three, the Gator Custom actually has good combat capabilities, having 4 primary and 2 secondary weapon slots, as well as better handling than the Rhino and Cormorant combined. This also makes it ideal for mining.

However, this ship is not the best fighter in the game, failing in terms of rather weak armor and with no turret slot. It can be a decent ship, but only if one sacrifices some equipment slots for armor reinforcements, such as T'yol, as well as for a good shield, a repair bot and a transfusion beam. While the Bloodstar is a lot better for utility, the price would encourage the Gator Custom instead,

Trivia[]

  • In its concept art, it was named Headhunter. It still has decals on its sides which read "Headhunter".
    • This then explains the lack of a "Gator" ship in-game.
  • It looks like a larger Hernstein.
  • It has the least secondary weapon slots of the most wanted ships.
  • This is the largest fighter ship in the game, aside from the Scimitar.
  • It is the only dropship that is able to attach primary weapons, though, with the expense of a turret slot.
  • Awkwardly, it is big enough and looks like it could install a turret, but possibly not because of balancing reasons.
  • The Gator Custom flown by Malon Sentendar did not appear to emit flames from the engines.
  • The "Headhunter" could be written in GTA San Andreas font.
  • Strangely, it is bigger than the Bloodstar and it has more handling than the Bloodstar.
