IMT manufactures extremely reliable drilling tools that can be used to mine ore on asteroids. The smallest model is only suitable for a short period of drilling, as it lacks the accuracy needed for deeper excavations.

Despite its being the cheapest mining drill, the IMT Extract 1.3 has a significantly higher yield than the much more expensive Vossk K'yuul drill and IMT Extract 2.7.
