Galaxy on Fire 2: Supernova is the final add-on for Galaxy on Fire 2 that was released in September 2012 for all Apple devices. As the name implies, the conflict revolves around a star that underwent a supernova. New content of every kind (ships, weapons, mini-games, etc.) were included with this add-on. It is very unlikely that DSFishlabs will resume work on any other DLC for Galaxy on Fire 2, as Galaxy on Fire 3: Manticore has been released.

Synopsis[]
Following the events of Galaxy on Fire 2: Valkyrie, a supernova threatens the lives of millions inhabiting Mido-controlled space. Keith T. Maxwell demonstrates his heroics once again by assisting their evacuations, but they are interrupted by mysterious stealth ships intent on stopping their efforts. Troubled, Keith is sent to the Nivelian Republic to request help for the evacuations and against the mysterious ships.
Plot[]
Spoiler Alert!
This article contains plot details about Galaxy on Fire.
In the wake of the Valkyrie storyline, a star inexplicably goes supernova, killing innumerable midorians. The supernova destroys several space stations and irradiates the system. Keith T. Maxwell receives a distress call from Gunant Breh, who tells him his son Gunant IV is in a critically damaged freighter in irradiated space. Keith saves Gunant IV, thus repaying his life debt to Gunant Breh.
Keith volunteers to assist in evacuations of the Midorian sector. However, during evacuations, stealth fighters appear and attempt to murder the evacuators and refugees. Keith defeats the stealth fighters, making him the only pilot to ever survive a battle with the Stealth Fighters. Brent tells Keith to talk to Trunt Harval as Harval had recieved reports of the same ships in Nivelian territories. Harval's behavior during the meeting is strange and unsettling, though Keith cannot pinpoint the issue. He is surprised Keith survived and defeated the stealth fighters.
Afterwards, Khador and Deep Science design an anti-matter missile to calm the Supernova down. However, the plan fails as Khador's missle intensified the supernova - it used Khador's missile as a fuel. Khador isolates himself by locking himself in a laboratory. Thadellonius Moonsprocket, an old, eccentric professor and former colleague of Deep Science visited Thynome and offered his help. He suggested building a Plasma Array. In order to fulfill the need to build the device, the team also needed 4 ancient plasma crystals that were now unknown in the Galaxy. The operation also required Chromo Plasma, a fusion of Blue Plasma, Red Plasma, Green Plasma, and Purple Plasma. The Chromo Plasma would be used to reverse the Supernova.
Keith finds the first crystal in some space wreckage. He hacks the wreck of old containers and brings the first crystal to Brent Snocom. The second one was held by one of the most wanted criminals in the Galaxy. To help Keith obtain the crystal, Brent introduces him to the Terran Most Wanted board. After defeating the criminal Keith obtains the crystal. Keith tracks down the third crystal, which is being used by Midorian miners to power their mining operation. They agree to give the crystal to Keith if he mines sufficient titanium for them. Keith completes this task, thus earning him the third crystal. After finding out that the fourth crystal was in Vossk possession, Keith blackmails Counsellor Mekant Orssk. Keith tells Orssk that since he is a Counsellor to the Imperial Throne it would cause a huge scandal if the Vossk public found out he had helped Keith steal the K'Suukk. After Orssk tells Keith the location of the battleship housing the crystal Keith hacks into it and escapes with the crystal.
Gunant Breh teaches Keith how to collect plasma, which allowed Keith to complete the Chromo Plasma blueprint.
Just as they were about to fire the Plasma Array, Trunt Harval arrived with an armada of Stealth Fighters (Specter ships) and destroyed it. However, the Chromo Plasma is not destroyed. With the Plasma Array destroyed the team now needed something just as big to fire the plasma. Their only option was to use Valkyrie Station.
Keith travels to Void space. He agrees to grant Aliceamnesty and new lodging in exchange for Valkyrie. The journey outside void space would require 1000 energy cells. Keith travels back to Void Space with his assistant Hans, who piloted a Rhino full of the energy cells. Returning to Void Space, Keith is stunned. Earlier, Alice had spliced half of Cornelius Tenner's brain with Void tissue so she could communicate with the Voids, which made the Void willing to fight for her. Alice commands Keith to give the energy cells to her for free or she would kill him with her new minions. Seeing no other option, Keith complies. After receiving the energy cells, Alice commands the voids to kill Keith.
Keith hacks Valkyrie, allowing him and Hans to enter Valkyrie, which then allows them to capture Alice and Cornelius. The turn of events had caused Alice to lose her amnesty. Keith takes Alice prisoner and takes her to a brig in Terran space, far from where Valkyrie would be. Meanwhile, Hans takes Valkyrie to Var Lupra.
Deep Science outfits Valkyrie Station with a Plasma Array. There, a full Terran Armada guarded the operation. The moment Keith arrives, Trunt Harval appeared to destroy the operation once more with his armada of Stealth Fighters. The Terrans battled the stealth fighters while Keith duelled Trunt Harval.
Valkyrie Station is hit and could no longer be controlled remotely. Alice then retakes her station. She is shocked to see Deep Science had removed the Alice Drive, preventing her escape.
Seeing that Alice was trying to escape, Trunt Harval fires upon Valkyrie, critically damaging it. In her last moments Alice chooses to fire the Plamsa Array. The Supernova reverses. All the stealth fighters are destroyed by the reaction with the plasma array with the supernova. The reaction blasts Keith and Harval to an empty sector of space where they duel alone. Trunt reveals that the supernova was artificial - he had engineered it as a "punishment" for the Midorians, who would pay for their rebellion against the Nivelian faction.
Keith kills Harval, remarking that it was the "end of a tyrant." Keith returns to Thynome to celebrate his victory, and remembers Alice with Carla. Carla is happy that Alice had kind of redeemed herself.
The next morning, the old professor, Thadellonius Moonsprocket, his assistant, Brillo Lampeter, and the galaxy hero Keith T. Maxwell was nowhere to be found in the Thynome research station. Carla finds a small note that read...
"Dear Carla. I'm out for a drink. See you! -Keith", leaving Carla with a sense of déja vu.
Meanwhile in the Maissa station... Mkkt Bkkt was supplying Dr. Moonsprocket, his psychiatrist Dr. Lampeter and Keith with a drink called "Flabbergasters". Keith gets totally wasted.
