Well Why Not?
Hello, I was looking at some official concept art for galaxy on fire 2, and an idea popped into my head. Fishlabs has greated a beautiful universe with Galaxy on Fire, and why couldn't they expand - And make a console game, or even a small movie? The factions and conflict are terrifically created, you can almost feel for the mido alliance, or feel hate for the Vossk. The ships designed for each faction are spectacular, each type with it's own unique style. If Fishalbs was willing to leave behind mobile gaming, it could probably make something spectacular.
Just imagine it. Take the art and enviroment of the Galaxy On Fire series, make the Void a little more aggressive and theatrical, and take cues from other games and you could create a terrific Xbox game. It might be good to reinvent the characters, or come up with new ones, Keith T Maxwell is a bit to hooligan for my Christian Tastes. (But that's Just Me.) And who says it has to be about the Void? The Supernova campaign was even more interesting, and heck, why not create a completley new storyline about the re-discovery of Earth? Fishlabs has proven with this series it has a talent for storytelling, and I'm sure people would buy.
The Same goes for a film. While perhaps more ambitious, the idea of taking these storylines and making them a cinematic would be great. GOF2's cinematics were a bit lacking, mainly because the ships had to adhere to standard ship movement like the player. But if these ships were put into a movie in CGI, or heck, just a 15 minute short or music video, I'm sure it would get a lot of attention.
Really, I think either of these could sell if effort was put in. Kind of like Halo 4, the sheer artfulness and epicness of ships, planets, and stations put into smooth and awesome gamepley or cinematic would be amazing.
Well, that's my 2 bits, what do you think?
